Should birds being banded be tagged as "captive"?

Some bird photos are of birds being held temporarily for banding, then released. As a reviewer, should I tag these as “captive”?

No, they are not considered captive. They got to the location of the net of their own accord, and the status is temporary. They are wild, no different than a fish an angler released or a frog a parent is holding to show their child.

“captive” means, like, a pet, or zoo animal, or livestock.

Even at my most pedantic, I would not class those birds as ‘captive’.

Got it. Thanks!
