Should taxonomic changes on very important, high profile taxa be discussed more broadly than flags?

so this will be my last post on this forum. I have started getting harassment to my personal email because of my opinions on taxonomy, as well as curators engaging in abuse of power, because i disagreed with how the pinus ponderosa split has managed. It’s just not worth it and i cant expend any more of my mental health and that of others for a community where i don’t feel safe.

I have poor self control so i’ll be scrambling my password. So don’t bother messagine me here, i won’t be coming back.

Charlie may have left, but that doesn’t mean that these discussions will stop happening.

Update: I was wondering why the feature request post was languishing in pending, and then I realized it was the weekend and people have lives.

Soooo, anyway, here it is: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/add-links-to-the-taxon-changes-and-flags-pages/60153

Like I said, please don’t make me regret getting involved.

You should vote for your own request! Also I’ve reached my limit for feature request votes, I had to go find an old one to unvote for to vote for this…
