Show us some purple organisms!

My flatworm encounters are always by chance. It so happens I observed the kewensis species over the weekend, on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. As soon as it reached the landscaping bed, it disappeared – perhaps underground.

Same here. I’ve had two encounters with flatworms – the first was found near an entrance to a damp tunnel while the second was spotted on the sidewalk on recently-developed land on the edge of town.

Well it sounds like I need to be in warm, moist areas. Thanks for the info!

I found these in the middle of the rainy season at night on a mossy brick wall. Like other people have said, look for warm moist areas in general, I’ve found some under pots and in bathrooms as well before.

Here’s one from my trip to Reno. I already had an observation of Clasping Pepperweed from the campground where I stayed; but then at another location, I found the same species, but purple!
