You can make compost from flies larvae for this keep compost bin with biodegradable waste for 1 day and then simply cover it with piles of paper so it doesn’t get stinky, And if you have lifestock like hens, ducks then flies larvae can be beneficial to them. My goldfish loves eating them as frozen food

I purchased some yellow sticky traps from a local nursery (San Diego) a few years ago to try and get rid of leaf miners (adult stage) on my lemon and lime trees. Was SO sad when I found a poor Bushtit stuck to one. Took them all down and threw them away. I’ll never use any sticky trap out doors again.
