AHHH! The king vulture is GROSS!

Actually, I like its colorfulness. But some of the Old World vultures are another matter.

Yes. Colorful but gross. In my opinion, new world vultures are all crazy bad.

Atlantic puffin, anybody? This is the real deal when it comes to Cow-birds.

Ohhh yes! I used to have them and they were just seriously LOUD!!! But you know who’s worse? Lovebirds.

Of course only a mother can love them, but a predator my enjoy seeing those faces as it means DINNER :yum:

Sometimes, the mocking birds will deprive us of sleep for days on end. It’s not that the sound is so ugly, but it is very penetrating during the night.

Large-billed crows are HORRIBLE in East Asia.

The Indian Jungle Crow subspecies (found where I live) is much better.

Actually, all vultures except Bearded and Egyptian vultures and their relatives, are plain gross.

Maybe in Sri Lanka as well, but I’ve never heard one. But, actually, it actually sounds quite pleasant to me… I think only loudness can spoil it.

It’s not attractive, but I bet it carries well. And those rattling sounds are amazing!

Amazing but GROSS! Ugliness in beauty.

Haha yes. I don’t mind the call per se but it’s just so LOUD. My parents’ neighbours have an aviary in their backyard with a few macaws in it and honestly the macaw calls just echo through the house.

Ibises ! I’ve heard calls of both Red-naped and Glossy Ibis, and they feel mysterious and weirdly creepy to me !

Gross, but beautiful !

One of my favourite ugly sounds is the Satin Bower Bird. They’re always in my backyard.
