Unique observations vs. Multiple observations of the same subject over time

Covering about the same 2 mile walk twice a day, I see a lot of the same animals (especially geese and rabbits) in the same spots day after day.

I’m aware that there are researchers out there who do studies of established populations in some areas.

But, for iNaturalist purposes specifically:

Is it considered useful to repeatedly record the same animals in the same general area at different times or days?

Or is it preferable to focus on observations of possibly unique or more unusual for the area?

Cool. Thanks for pointing those out.
