Domestic animals aside, I’ve luckily only gotten injured by Apis bees. By itself that wouldn’t be very strange BUT:
I have never been stung by a LIVE bee. The only two times I’ve been stung, it was on two occasions where I was removing a dead bee from water.
Well, um, that is… an Elapid! Very beautiful snake. Most of the Australian ones tend to be quite dangerous, so I guess you got lucky.
I would have loved to actually handle a snake. The last time I tried it escaped into the bushes never to be seen again.
On my area only two are venomous, both of medical significance. The others are not but their bites are unpleasant.
The saying saying ‘Australian snakes are the most dangerous in the world’ Is actually an exaggeration imo. Not many of the species that live here are actually dangerous to humans. Where I live, we have 8 species. Of those, only 7 are venomous and 3 only are dangerous to people. The rest only cause mild symptoms. The species I got bitten by was a harmless species.
Actually, I caught two more today!

Isn’t the most venomous terrestial snake is elapid from Australia?
Yes- the inland taipan, and many of the venomous ones rank in the top ten.
My point is, there are a lot of other species that are not dangerous. These are not often talked about. The focus is usually on the highly venomous ones.
And of course stinging nettles

When I was, I dunno, 5? I went into a bush, and then something stung me. It was probably a bee and not a wasp, since I only got 1 bite, and it also got pulled out. So definitely a bee.
Yeah, I don’t think fire ants are that stupid, I guess they can just be annoying when they bite you. But I don’t think I would know, since I’m pretty sure they haven’t actually bitten me before.
When I was about 9 or 10, a shrew bit my right ring finger and wouldn’t let go…
Of course, as a naive child fearing for my life, I shook my arm around crying and screaming until the shrew released its hold…
When I was around 11, I saw a bumble bee stuck on a ball of tangled thread in the woods. I bent down and got it free, but in the prosses I got stung once or twice.
They never know when someone is helping do they unfortunately.
My sister
oh wow, same
Just my brothers here not my sister
I’ve been stung by a few cow killers.
Nasty looking things those.
Welcome
in a cheap hostal, a lot of bed bugs!
I was just stung by a honey bee in the face and my eye is swollen shut, I can’t see anything!
