I know that it’s a little late, and in Canada, a month late, but this is a post about the things in nature that we are thankful for.

This maybe a little bit tangential, but I think The World is Just Awesome from the Discovery Channel sums up everything that I like in the world, including Nature.

Its the simple things. To be able to walk through the trees, hear the birds sing, maybe see a small lizard scamper across the floor, watch a butterfly feed on some flowers, see a spider build her web etc. I am thankful that I get to experience it.

That I can visit the same reserve, trail, creek, etc., time and time again, and every time I go I still find new things to get excited about!

I am most thankful for Porcellio scaber.
I am immensely grateful for water. It makes all the rest possible, whether it comes in waves, floods, showers, dribbles, or mists.
