Whats the coolest thing you've seen during the 2019 CNC so far?

Am I allowed to answer if we dont have a CNC where I live, and this is the coolest thing I saw while it was going on elsewhere ? If not, then a mod can delete or ask me to do so.

For me it would be this (this is what birders call a ‘record shot’) Hermit Warbler. He’s lost by about 4,000 kilometers. You can see their normal range on the taxon page map for the species here : https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/145256-Setophaga-occidentalis. I live just outside Toronto as a comparison, and you can see how rare it is to be out here, or anywhere outside its normal range.

Earthworm sex! In the final hour of the CNC, I grabbed my headlamp and headed to the backyard. A shiny red bulge reflected my light from the dirt below, and I knew immediately what it was because I had recently watched a great documentary on worms. Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture the beauty of the two long worms stretched from each of their burrows to meet in the middle, because most of their combined length was hidden under cover of weeds. So, I give you the voyeur shot:

Just looking through my stuff and uploading. I forgot I had taken a photo of an aquatic fly or beetle larva and I can see the gills in the photo! That’s pretty cool in my books.

And I had forgotten that I came across a tree that was split down its length by lightening. The pieces fell apart, and you can see the black burn down the heartwood of the whole trunk! There are 8 pix showing different parts of the tree.
