Why am I being notified about certain posts?

Sorry this may be random, but why am I getting pinged from your responses on forums I’ve never read? I’ve gotten 4 pings in like 15 minutes all on topics i’ve never read or interacted with.

That for some reason, on forum posts I’ve never interacted with, it was set to watching. I’ve been setting them to normal each time I get a ping from a comment of yours. This only started about 30 minutes ago.
