WoRMS as a reference for names

I’m seeing that the spotted drumfish is listed as Eques punctatus here in iNaturalist while the accepted name in the World Register of Marine Species is Equetus punctatus: https://marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=276097
However, other sources still use Eques punctatus, like Shorefishes of the Greater Caribbean:
https://biogeodb.stri.si.edu/caribbean/es/thefishes/taxon/3778

What does iNaturalist use as a source of truth for accepted taxa names?

For fish, iNat follows Eschmeyer’s Catalog of Fishes. See a full list at https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/curator+guide#authorities
