Looks like a leucistic form (can flowers be leucistic?) of the regular, pink flower. It’s special so I’ll choose this one.

I have another question! I love the whole Bird of the Week thing on the Birding/Birdwatching disussion topic, and I was wondering if I could incorporate that into this topic (for example, for this week first person to submit a photo of a finch gets a free vote (from me). Sorry to bother you!

I don’t read that thread, and I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking - can you clarify? Is there any action mods would need to take?

I like the BOTW too, but I think that should be separate from the photo contest. What if a bird was picked that was common in some regions, and rare/impossible to find in others? That (in my opinion) wouldn’t be quite fair. And since not everyone here participates in the BOTW challenge, I think that would not be the best idea. That’s just my thoughts

Yeah, I agree. Kind of unfair, since the photo itself could be a horrible, grainy, out-of-focus thing.

Basically everyone just votes for a “bird of the week.” Usually it isn’t a specific bird, but rather a bird family. I think there are normally 3 options every week to vote on. I don’t think mods would have to do anything, but I just realised (with some help from @joeylikesbirds and @oksanaetal) that it would be a little unfair to others who don’t really do bird photography or who don’t have that bird in their area. Thanks anyway though!

Well, it seems everyone have posted some pretty amazing images recently!
Well anyhow, might as well post some photos I finally got the chance to edit today.
This is an Eight-spotted Tumbling Flower Beetle, which surprisingly sat still enough for some focus stacks! (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/287159291)
