A Guide to iNaturalist

Hi all, just reopening this thread to note I’ve just published an updated, second edition of this guide, available here: https://doi.org/10.54102/ala.33300

There are no seismic changes compared to the first edition, but I tidied up some typos/small errors, updated all statistics and figures, and added information on new functionality and features that have been added to iNat in the last few years (eg the new DQA items and annotations).

Speaking of typo[graphy]: what about widows (not black) and orphans? see e.g. p.15, last line

thanks, I’ll get those corrected. Weird artefact of the conversion to PDF, none of those errors exist in my original word doc

Why have I never heard about this!

Thanks Thomas! Pretty much covers everything aside from formal biological identification skills, which isn’t needed for Inat.
