On every taxon detail page there is a section for “Total Observations”. There is presently a tally of all observations above the “View All” button, but no info above the “View Yours” button. Adding a tally here, even if it is zero, would save users from having to click through to see how many, if any, observations of that taxon they actually have.
For an added visual cue, have the “View Yours” button change to green when the tally is more than zero.
