Adding a new species

I’m wondering how I can get a new species/subspecies added to an existing taxon.

I’m working on Stewartia at the moment. And I’ve stumbled upon, what I believe to be a Stewartia sinensis var. acutisepala. S. sinensis is rare enough on its own on iNat. So S. acutisepala most certainly doesn’t exist on here. And seeing it’s Chinese, and only appears in a certain small region, relatively little is publically known about it. So I don’t see anyone adding it soon. Unless I can do it myself ofcourse. But I don’t know how. Any help?

You can flag the parent taxon and request it to be added by a curator. Best also provide a link to a source for the new taxon.
