Since iNat records an encounter with an organism, observations with juveniles and adults in the same photo can be duplicated, each with a different life stage annotation. I did that for this Large Milkweed Bug observation:

It’s a good idea to recognize the intentional duplication in the notes so it doesn’t get flagged.
It might be worth a comment to the observer to let them know they can do so.
