Affiliation to iNaturalist

Hi,
Is it possible to affiliate a public institutional or research organization to i-Naturalist?
If it’s possible, how to do?
Thanks in advance

Marcello

What exactly do you mean – “to affiliate an organization to iNaturalist”?

For example, to certify the use of the app and the site, sign a partnership or publish to each other the official symbols on institutional channels.

Do you mean become part of the https://www.inaturalist.org/sites/network ?

ps: nice name you have ;-)

Ok Thank you

The only context in which iNaturalist formalizes organizational relationships right now is in the context of the International Network, as mentioned above.

But we welcome organizations to create projects and use the iNaturalist logo in the context of promoting iNaturalist/your iNat project. You can download logos here: https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/press

If neither of these gets at what you have in mind, can you elaborate on what you have in mind?

I am a biologist and science communicator: I strongly believe in citizen science for research and for teaching. So, I always try to propose these activities during my work projects with institutions and research bodies.
I think creating a network between all these players could be interesting for mutual growth.
I take this opportunity to ask if it were possible to associate distant geographical polygons within the same project: for example, a series of water basins for monitoring lake birdlife.
I thank everyone for these sources that I will read carefully and I apologize for my elementary English.

That’s great, Marbus. iNat staff don’t have a lot of capacity to coordinate the kinds of things you mention, but we try to make it easy for others to use iNat for those purposes.

Yes, you can read more about projects here.
