Why isn’t the American Sharp-angled Carpet Moth in the Xanthorhoe genus?

You can flag the taxon if there is a mistake
There isn’t, just different genera in a family of similar moths.

It isnt a mistake on iNat’s part. bugguide.net butterfliesandmoths.org and Wikipedia etc also say its in the Euphyia genus. I guess what I meant was that I was asking why the scientific community in general decided to give it that taxonomy.
