Description of problem: When creating or editing an observation, pressing the “locate me” target button brings up a warning saying the app requires permission to access location. Tapping “OK” (only option) brings me to the permissions settings page for the app, where the permission has been set to “allow when open”.
I can’t give much detail as I’m about 5 minutes off from a class trip to the middle of nowhere (hence my frustration). Was working yesterday.

I can’t replicate. The next time this happens, can you please send log files to us? To send log files, go to the About tab in the iNaturalist app and tap three times on the version number. You will then have the option to email the log files to us.

Will do! It started working again randomly on the trip so all was well (in the short term). Hasn’t stopped working since.

Though, I’ve got a hunch that it’s actually some quirk in the phone’s location settings, not an issue with the app. I’ll keep an eye on it at any rate.
