Hi all, I just submitted an API application but got no confirmation email and my application does not appear anywhere on my profile. How do I know my application was submitted properly and what the status of my application is? How long does it take to get an answer? Many thanks!
if you just submitted it at the end of the business day at the end of the business week, i would wait until at least the beginning of the business week (Monday) to start worrying about the status of your application.
if / when you are approved, you will see that your user roles will include an app owner item: https://api.inaturalist.org/v2/users/fdebusserolles?fields=all, and I believe they’ll send you a notification via iNat message and/or e-mail.
Monday is a federal holiday in the US where most iNat staff is based, so I would suggest waiting longer.
If you don’t have an answer after maybe a week, you could file a support ticket.
