My favorite so far is this bitterroot (Lewisia rediviva) growing on a mossy basalt outcrop. Just a lucky shot with etherial lighting on a drizzly day in the high desert.
My favourite is this Harlequin Mistletoe flower. The foliage is so well disguised against the host that only the flowers revealed its presence.
I love the flowers of the coastal heaths in Australia
Conospermum taxifolium Paint Brush
I really enjoy taking flower pics against black background. Here are a few. I’ve named the images according to the species names, if you’re curious about the IDs. :)
I love how the Dianthus blossoms look! I’ll probably try to take pictures of a few more species and varieties next year. I’m also hoping to get good shots of a few of the spring flowers and some more Asteraceae. Lots of plans!
(P.S.: sorry for the amount of photos. I won’t post any in the near future to make up for it, but I wanted to share these)
Not the crispest, but the image I share the most when encouraging people to look for small local orchids is
Of of my faves, just for what I feel like I see in it is.
I know I have “better” pics, but these are a couple I personally like.
Almost never post plant photos nowadays (probably should), but here are some of the common dandelion:
I couldnt decide between my Geranium maculatum and Asclepias incarnata photos.. the milkweed has a hidden spider as a bonus.

The striking color and structure of the Cardinal Flower
This is my first Clammy Groundcherry. Interesting flower.
This is Sixalix atropurpurea, an ornamental plant native from Europe, but that’s invasive in Argentina
.
I have this photo posted elsewhere in this forum also but it is indeed a favorite of mine. I even used this photo to make a couple magnetic bumper stickers. One says Please Don’t Litter and the other says Keep Florida Beautiful. I have one set on each side of my car. I also have a framed version hanging on a wall in my house. I have a few others framed and hanging on walls. I may post those too. They do make for inexpensive wall decor.
I was going to post something, but realized I already have. Take a look at my profile picture!
Prairie Pasqueflower
Fun topic! I’ll go with this Brown-eyed Susan
I took this photo when the flowers were illuminated by a black moth light, hence the blue colour of the background
I like this photo of black locust flowers that I took
They have the best smell ever in my opinion. They really should make a perfume that smells like these! I have found that orange blossom has a similar smell but nothing comes close to walking under a black locust tree in bloom on a warm early summer day.
I also love this picture of desert willow flowers that I took, I think that the colors are very nice.
Nice pictures, I’ve always thought Milkweed flowers looked and smelled so nice!
Really cool! I love orchids!
Great picture!
Woah, you should enter these in a photograph contest! Incredible pics!
Very nice photo!
