Not the prettiest specimen but it’s the first known photograph of this species (Verbesina ekmanii) and I was so thrilled to have the honour of photographing it.

Really cool flower pictures. Did you smell any of them? I would be curious as to what the Firewood Banksia smelled like.
Really nice seeing all these flower photos.. too early for the spring jitters? I’m ready for winter to be over here in Ohio and it practically just started..
Most of the flowers in the photographs I posted don’t have much in the way of a perfume noticable to humans
