Wow, this is a popular topic! There is a bird nest right on my door :bird: they don’t use it much anymore though. There was a funny instance where a squirrel ran up and down a power line by my house, witch was at the time being guarded by a falcon haha

That is cool! Glad to have you on the thread. I’ve only seen an American kestrel they are actually a falcon too. I really want to see a Pergin falcon soon.

I have a few feathers I’ve collected. I keep them in a box along with some other assorted nature collectibles.

I can’t remember if we are aloud to collect feathers here in West Virginia. I’m thinking it’s illegal on other properties other than your own. I’ll have to look into that.

Technically it is illegal to gather feathers at the federal level in the US. Possession of wild bird parts is considered a violation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. It would almost never be enforced on something small like a personal collection of feathers you found on the ground but it is illegal…
