I’m working on creating a complete printable birding checklist for me and my partner and am looking for help finding a reliable complete check list for birds in western Canada! Any help is appreciated!
eBird is probably the better resource for this. Here’s a printable checklist for the entire country: https://ebird.org/printableList?regionCode=CA. If you’d prefer a checklist limited to the western provinces and territories, you can search lists for the regions you’re interested in and combine them.
I would say the problem is constant taxonomy changes; species being split, species being lumped, or even unexpected species for a region. I typed a custom list on a word processor pulling from many sources (INat, Wikipedia, field guides, etc.). If you have the time, that’s the way to go.
