I enjoy wildlife photography as a hobby, and not necessarily a birding expert. However I generally know my ducks, but this one has me stumped. It looks like a black duck except the white chest. I have seen a lot of mallard/black duck hybrids around lately, but not colored like this.
Any ideas?
Have you posted this photo on iNat directly? In my experience, there are a lot of birders happy to help identify.
