Disagreement is fine, but please disagree with ideas and do so in a civil manner.

Insults, discriminatory language, and the like are not tolerated. Behavior on the forum can also affect the standing of your account at iNaturalist.org.

If you have nothing productive to add to the discussion, resist the urge to have the last word. Take time away from the forum (and maybe make some observations or IDs!) so you can cool down. Staff or moderators may close or temporarily stop discussion of a topic if it seems to be escalating.
