Category on the Forum for discussion of the Accuracy Experiments?

I have some musings and questions about the recent results of the Observation Accuracy Experiment. Since comments are not allowed on those blog posts, is there a particular category here on the Forum for such discussions?

No, but this is the blog post, with comments enabled: https://www.inaturalist.org/blog/124087-observation-accuracy-experiment-v0-6

The one you linked to looks similar to the blog styling but is a standalone page and not a blog post. Notice how the URL lacks the word “blog” and the blog navigation on the top and left sides is missing.

I note that the blog post now has something on the order of 60 comments which address numerous, sometimes unrelated topics. Exchanges with individual responders or comments directed at a particular question are exceedingly difficult to follow in such a thread.

I’m going to put in a feature request for a Forum Category on the Accuracy Experiments, if one does not already exist.

You can use General for general discussions about the Observation Accuracy Experiments - no need for a separate category or to wait for one.

I agree General is the best place - creating another category for a niche topic wouldn’t be justified. I did create a tag for this and added it to your thread @gcwarbler. Relatedly, I’ll discard the Feature Request you put in since I believe it has been addressed. Hope that helps!

The tag “accuracy-experiment” that @cthawley created seems the way to go: https://forum.inaturalist.org/tag/accuracy-experiment/
