Coyotes in Southern Ontario

As a nature enthusiast, I love getting different animal species on my trail camera. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know a place in southern Ontario where I would have a good chance of getting a coyote on video? Specific locations or forests would be helpful. Thank you in advance for your help.

Where in Ontario are you located? Coyotes are highly abundant in the province, and can be found in pretty much any forest around dusk and/or dawn.

Southern area, nearby Point Pelee National Park. I have never seen a coyote though.

Coyotes tend to have territories, hunting grounds and hangout areas they visit semi regularly. If you see where they’ve been observed recently, chances are a little better in those areas. See where iNat’s Explore feature shows recent sightings for ideas about camera placement.

Thank you so much for the help! I will definitely give that a try!
