Create a way for life list to only have RG observations

Platform(s), such as mobile, website, API, other: Website

URLs (aka web addresses) of any pages, if relevant: https://www.inaturalist.org/lifelists/quyksilver?view=tree&details_view=unobservedSpecies&tree_mode=full_taxonomy

Description of need:
Currently, the life list includes all your observations, including ‘needs ID’ or casual observations. While we can make our own lists to only have RG observations, this could be rather tedious. I would like a way to set the life list to only show species which have a research grade observation, to set a higher bar when I filter for unobserved species (ie a species I took photos of in a zoo, or for which there’s one observation that’s been sitting at ‘needs ID’ for years would still show up in the unobserved species tab)

Feature request details:
A button to set a filter in the dynamic life list page that causes the life list to only show species for which the user has at least one research grade observation. This button will also cause the ‘unobserved species’ tab to show species for which the user does not have a RG observation, thus including in the unobserved species list species for which the user has casual or needs ID observations of.

(edited the title to make it more clear and to make it an action verb)

I’d be down for this and similar filters, like other dat quality grades or to toggle wild/not-wild.

Yes that would be great. A wild/not wild (captive) and introduced/not introduced filter would be fantastic.

also great would be an option not just to see unobserved species, but be able to filter that as well (e.g. unobserved Kingdoms)

“Unobserved Species” could be renamed to “Unobserved” with a search toggle just like in “Species”

Thanks! I was struggling to articulate what I wanted in clear language even I think the actual idea is very clear. My brain was melting out of my ears from 20 hours of studying molecular biology when I wrote this post haha

You can already do that by first entering in the taxon on the left side, then hitting ‘unobserved species’. For example, here is my list of unobserved birds globally.

I’m pretty sure vmoser is asking for e.g. a list of unobserved kingdoms, not a list of unobserved species within a kingdom

Oh! Yes, that would be nice. I just uploaded a merengeser observation and I’d never seen any member of that genus, so ability to see unobserved taxons would be interesting. Personally, I’m hoping to see a velvet worm when I go to Chile in two weeks.

yes, I mean that (and same with genus, order, etc)
