Dark eyed Junco gender question

Sorry if I’m braking the rules of ask question about identifying bird species question on forum page again. But that is the generic difference between male and female variants of the Dark eyed Junco gender. Also asking this because I need know because I want to identifying bird species gender differences in Dark eyed Junco.

Males have blackish hoods, while females are more slaty-gray. Mature females may also have brownish tones, usually on the back. Keep in mind though, that immature males can look pretty close to adult females, so there is a margin of error.
