Daylight Saving Time: it started with an amateur insect hunter

And for me from Cape Town to Switzerland.
Where the farmers complained - milking cows who do NOT do daylight saving. Must be an issue for other dairy farmers?

It is! I used to work at a farm/park.
Not a single animal under my care used clocks at all. If ā€œFood Girlā€ is late, sheā€™s going to hear about it!
As a mother who breastfed her childrenā€¦ late gets painful early!
Humans invented clocks, furthering the quest to control one another.

On the other hand, I believe that those chronotypes have been made more diverse by artificial lighting. How many self-identified ā€œnight peopleā€ would be so if their immediate surroundings were dark whenever the sun went down?

I have no doubt, given how many other animals have had their habits change. In Costa Rica, I saw lots of diurnal house geckoes and nocturnal grackles in areas with heavy artificial lighting.

me, probably. iā€™d be around a campfire or roaming around in the dark. Thereā€™s always the need for someone to be awake.
