Double posting of the same individual organism by the same person

Hi everyone,
I’ve been using iNat for quite a while now and have noticed that there are often double or more posting of same individuals/encounter by the observer. Also, many users identify an observation even if marked as double-post giving it research-grade level.
what’s the official policy in this regard? is there anyway to report such cases?
thanks in advance

With many species, most often there will be multiple individuals in a single photo. So technically in such cases you can identify each entry and it’s valid data. I personally ignore posts labeled as duplicates.

You can always do a search of existing topics with keywords (“duplicate” for example) and check for answers to your questions,

Answers to your questions are in there. Responses to this new thread should go there too. Thanks!
