A bit of a weird, niche issue that I just came across. It seems like if an observation is duplicated (e.g. because there are two species in the photo) it causes problems with ‘scrolling’ through observations in the bottom banner area of a project. Here are some steps to reproduce:
Go to this project, scroll down to the bottom and hit the ‘next’ arrow to see more sightings until the two moray/cleaner wrasse sightings are visible:
Click on the rightmost of these two, and then use the arrows to try to go left and right. If you try to go right it simply won’t let you, and if you try to go left it will skip the duplicate sighting and go straight to the green wrasse on the far left in the image above. Every other sighting here works as normal - i.e. starting at the wrasse going right, it will show both duplicated sightings, and starting at the bright blue damselfish and moving left, it will go normally to the moray.
It happens when I am logged out as well and on other devices, so it’s not an issue on my end which is what I was thinking originally. It seems to be because the two sightings are duplicates (both images are identical (same URL), rather than different uploads of the same image) but I’m not sure why it is happening. Not a big issue by any means but I figured it’s worth posting about!
