EOL content error on guides

Hello All,
I am trying to develop guides for my location, but when i try to update the EOL content to choose specific information it thinks about it for a while, then gives an error notification pop up.
I have tried a few different combinations in case i was requesting too much data to begin with and overloading it. But i still get the same error each time.
No specific error code provided:

Maybe it’s related to not being able to pull taxon photos from EOL after they changed their site?

See here (end of last year, pre Discourse):
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/inaturalist/EOL|sort:date/inaturalist/QVJiUMAd-qQ/FmjmrWOjAQAJ

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/inaturalist/79w-upMACYs

(it also happened in April/May 2018, but was fixed. As far as I know, the November/December issue with EOL photos is ongoing)

As stated above it is likely due to the changes EOL made to their site some time ago. The site considers Guides to be closed functionality. They will not delete them, however, there will be no further development or bug fixes applied to them. So unfortunately, if it is a bug caused by that change, it will not be fixed.

Why is EOL still an option under the taxon photo filter? If there’s no plans to resolve it, shouldn’t that option be removed?

This EOL v3 web services API is in its infancy. So it need more suggestions.See whether it helps you:

I know it’s abandonware, so maybe this won’t get answered, but I’ll try. I’ve created a new guide, and I get a popup that just says “Error” when I try to upload EOL data. Is this feature just abandoned, or am I possibly doing something wrong.

Also, is it worth putting much effort into a new guide at all, assuming the existing format works for my needs. Stated more clearly: will my guide potentially get erased entirely at some point.

Thanks,
Mark

More likely it got broken when EoL did a complete site redesign about a year ago, and as you note that since guides are abandoned it was not fixed.

The site had committed to not deleting or turning off guides (of course I don’t work for them and can’t promise they won’t change that), just that no work or bug fixes etc will be applied on them.

Ok. Great to know, and thanks for responding.
