Actually @wildwestnature it might help to know if this happens for all your observations, just some of them, or anything else that would help us reproduce it. I can see in the logs that https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/240977157 was one obs you were having this problem with. Does it happen consistently when you fave and unfave it in the app?
If you press the favorite star repeatedly and quickly on any observation, it will eventually result in that error. This was not how we originally triggered the error; it was just favoriting and unfavoriting.
I can reproduce this (version 0.45.0 (114)). I tried it on three different observations. Two of them were my own observations, and one was somebody else’s. In each case I visited the observation, then quickly and repeatedly tapped on the star icon in the lower-right corner of the photo. After five or six taps the error would appear:
