Favorite observations, what are yours?

Everyone has observations in their collections that they think are extra cool.
Here are a few of mine…

Great photos, those amphipods are particularly cool.

Thanks!

I couldn’t decide on a ‘favorite’ of my own photos, it tends to be different every day depending on what I’m working on at the moment. A couple of weeks ago I photographed this Red Fox who had stolen a hot dog from somewhere… how about this?

Some of my favorites are of bobwhites!

This quail looks like she’s enjoying the flowers!

In the words of another user: “I can imagine him singing ‘O Sole Mio’ better than Luciano Pavarotti. Beautiful photo.”

And my favorite of them all…
This quail who looks like he’s pretending to be a dinosaur!

Hands down, this is my favorite because I have so many questions. Was this a pet or perhaps dinner? If this is wild, why isn’t it thrashing the kid with its tail? And why does the kid also have a bag of what appears to be milk? I am so very confused….

I’m confused too.

One of my favorites from other’s collections is this amphipod who is wearing a jelly like a parachute.

How interesting! The iguana seems pretty chill, it must be a pet. The bag is odd, I wonder if it’s a little bag of cotton candy? That makes a bit more sense to me than milk.

This is adorable! I wonder if it is intentional. Is the jelly trying to eat the amphipod, maybe?

I believe the amphipod may be using the jelly as a way of defense against predators.

Do you mean the Observations that you favorite with the little star?

I saved this duck. It just made me happy. It does every time I open it. What a good duck.

It doesn’t have to be an observation that you fave. Just observations that are your favorites.
