Hi, my name is Alex and I’m passionate about moths.Today on a walk in the park I found this beautiful moth. Although many will see it as just another moth, it is one of my favorites and a specimen that I consider quite interesting and beautiful. [1000216142] I present to you the grass tubeworm moth…

My favorite has always been the Delicate Cycnia (Cycnia tenera). And the caterpillars are pretty neat, too! [image] [image]

The Delicate Cycnia is so beautiful!! And caterpillars are so cool! I love going out to find new insects, but it’s always exciting to find caterpillars, especially when they’re so beautiful :heart_hands::bug:

I like Common Spragueia Moths :) [large] -Aleks

SO CUTEEE :yellow_heart: Such a beautiful, tiny, colorful moth, I love its little legs and fluff so much!! Your favorite it’s definitely a cutie <3

I love Milkweed Tussock Moths, although I haven’t seen an adult yet. [image]

In my non-lepidopterologist opinion, the caterpillar is a lot more than “pretty neat” :p In the middle it almost looks like dandelion-umbrellas!

My favorite moth is Dryocampa rubicunda It looks like a freaking beanie baby that came to life! Caterpillars ain’t bad either.

If we’re talking about favorite caterpillars, how about this one… a Red-humped Caterpillar Moth (Oedemasia concinna, observation here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/235627112 ): [image] [image]
