Here’s the GADM Level 1 and Level 2 places we’re using. Again, my usual questions about whether these administrative units are correct and widely used.
It looks like the website is 100% translated into French but the [mobile apps] (https://crowdin.com/project/inaturalistios) are only 80% translated. Are there any other issues associated with translation or vernacular/common names?

To me, it looks like Level 1 (namely, “régions”) and Level 2 (“départements”) places are correct and widely used.
Where do you display French overseas departments and territories (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overseas_France)?
We’ll feature each of those places separately (see https://inaturalist.github.io/internationals_all.html) - the Level 0 places we’re using for ‘countries’ aren’t the same as sovereign states
