Living species, White-throated and towhees are the most common here. In terms of overall, the Dusky Seaside Sparrow subspecies. Sad story, especially for how recent the extinction was.
If we’re talking North America, I’ll have to say Song Sparrow. Aptly named – it is the one bird song I distinctly remember from childhood.

well in India we have house sparrow So I choose house sparrow.
Towhees (Pipilo, Melozone) are my favorite. One reason is because I can actually tell them apart.
I thought I’d share this photo I took of two sparrows that I spotted this past weekend - one native, the other introduced (both male):
