How can I import nominate subspecies from a external name provider?

I am not a curator (yet) so I am restricted to adding species and subspecies via an external name provider. Is there a way to add nominate subspecies via an external name provider or is flaging for curation the only way to get nominate subspecies added?

If search can’t find it (often it can’t), yes, the only way is to add a flag.
