How did the observation of Gerald the Muskrat go viral on inaturalist?

other- Gerald privately confessed to me that she was a little disturbed by all the attention she was getting… so of course I took a look myself.

[honestly, though… I can’t recall!]

Doesn’t look like your vote on the poll came through - unless you didn’t vote.

On which one? I’ve been looking at all of them since it started, and I haven’t noticed a link to Gerald.

sorry… implied :)

Accidentally voted for the wrong option, but I initially found Gerald thanks to this observation. The observation field “Is this Gerald?: always” confused me and I noticed it was part of a project called “Geralds of the World.” Discovered the world of Gerald a few short clicks later.

if you click “hide results” at the bottom of the poll, you should be able to change your vote.

I’m quite surprised that no one knew Gerald has a Twitter account…”I tweet but I am not a bird. Gerald on iNat”

I wonder what Gerald’s observer thought the last time they logged in, May 2019.

Gerald probably scared them away.

I found Gerald when I went into a Muskrat observation and went to the “Observations of Relatives” and clicked on him.
