Plectris aliena is a relatively uncommon beetle species from South America. As the specific name suggests, it was recognized as such when described from SC!
To flag a species as invasive, look at the top right and then click more → places → write the place name in the find a place search box → click on the correct location → scroll down and click view check list page → type the species name in the search box → click edit below the species info → click edit on establishment means → mark it as introduced. I know it’s a lot of steps but currently the only way.
“Introduced” doesn’t necessarily mean “invasive”, so the correct answer is that it’s impossible to mark species as invasive on iNaturalist.
