Maybe off topic but I use iNat in my course about « médiation culturelle numérique » and in « littératie numérique pour la recherche » (both in Qc, CA) :)
I show my digital humanities students how an API could be use, and it help us get outside our usual littérature/history field (haha) and for y tourism/mediation students it’s a good way to implement an electronic aspect, or to have a new tool to sensibilise the public to the wildlife around them.
