How to adjust geolocation privacy settings?

Sorry if this is discussed before but i couldn’t find it so links would be helpful!

I’m a casual user and almost all my sightings come from the back garden. But seek has set the default to precise location rather than obscure which i’d prefer. However, after having a brief look through this forum, apparently you can choose a radius of how precise the location is which i wouldn’t mind doing for the benefit of researchers.

Is there a place where i can adjust the radius for all future sightings?

And just had a thought, what if we could set a home location on the app which specifies a larger radius or sets “obscured” as the default so sightings made outside the home can be automatically set as precise? For example, i have no reason to obscure a sighting i made while abroad.

Just means i can keep my home address more private and don’t have to tweak the geolocation settings as much. I still remember around 2 years ago when i didn’t realise how precise “precise” was and took the mind-numbing chore of adjusting all my observations to obscured.

I don’t use Seek, so I don’t know how (if at all) geoprivacy is accessible there. That said, if you are using Seek and posting to iNaturalist with it, you can log into iNat and change the geoprivacy of observations posted that way, see:

https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000169938-what-is-geoprivacy-what-does-it-mean-for-an-observation-to-be-obscured-

iNat doesn’t allow for account level default posting of geoprivacy as obscured or private
