If you remember, I was trying to look for water snakes (N. tesselata). After waiting for 15 minutes, these timid snakes started slithering right next to me. But now, besides water snakes, I want to find other snakes. Recently, I was walking along a trail to the largest sand dune in Europe.
I only found two crushed snake carcasses. After that, I had two questions:
What’s the best way to look for snakes - walking along the trail, or should I cross to the other side of the river and look there?
And how exactly should I look for snakes?
I’ve heard that you should turn over rocks and look in the bushes.
