How to Reply as Linked Topic

Continuing the discussion from "Off-topic" flagging on this forum:

Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a Linked Topic.

I had missed the existence of this option - I had not realized that there were options nor did I see how to do this. I poked around looking for how to do this and discovered this option was tucked away under the top left icon in the Reply dialog box.

Dang, that is so cool… I had thought we would need to tag in moderators to split posts off to new topics, but now if we feel we are straying too far off-topic, we can take it over ourselves!
