Is it possible to integrate the iNaturalist CV model (using an API of some sort) in my own project so that I can use it myself to classify images?

It looks like it wasn’t possible about two years ago (https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/computer-vision-suggestion-api/12336/3), but I’m not sure if it has changed now.

nothing has changed in terms of the availability of the iNat CV API and model.

iNat photos with certain licenses are published as part of an AWS Open Data Set now. so you should be able to use this to train your own model, if you like.
