I ran into this issue recently while using a Trimble connected to my phone via bluetooth. The precision of the GPS unit was reported as less than 1 meter, but the iNaturalist Android app rounded it down to 0. Even though the location of this obs was highly precise, it was recorded as 0, then interpreted as if it had no precision recorded at all.
