Here it is in a Chrome browser on a Mac, as of about a minute ago …

So habitually addicted … this is it… no other social sites…it’s literally freezing outside now, wind chill below, so I’m going to have to do😡housework

No it is baking! here - washing ready to line dry. Must close some ‘sunnyside up’ blinds.

Sob. My ‘as soon as possible’ is green (oh - black is the new green ;~) … but it doesn’t click anywhere. Expected it to come back to this conversation among unsleeping zombies.

unscheduled maintenance ~ opportunistic and on-brand.

Well, it’s letting me post observations although the CV is out. I can’t use saved locations but I can look up new places and then use the location.

are you using the app?
then you are not “posting” observations, just capturing them on your phone. You will have to sync later - when iNat is up - to “post” them.

I work at a tech company. Half of our products are on AWS, half are on Azure (don’t ask). Yesterday everything on Azure was intermittent and wacky, but by the afternoon MS seemed to be getting things sorted. But it’s certainly possible that other systems are still being impacted.

But I could have sworn that I read somewhere that iNat is on AWS.

Back online!

Thanks for your patience, everyone. iNaturalist should be coming back online now. It may take a few minutes for everything to stabilize.

iNaturalist Australia has been back for at least 30 min.
I work in IT, I’ve been there. Thanks for fixing.

I received this Robert Gumpertz cartoon on a birthday card over a decade ago. Ever since, it has remained in a place of honor on a bulletin board right above my computer.
