Screenshots of what you are seeing: I was identifying and got up to page 11 or so, then clicked on the next page. It went to the top of the page, but didn’t change to the next set of observations. After a while, it said “Type error: Failed to fetch”. I closed the tab, opened an identifying tab again, and got " This site can’t be reached www.inaturalist.org took too long to respond." I clicked on another ob and got the same thing.
Description of problem:
Step 1: Click on Identify, bringing it up in a new tab
If I remember correctly iNat is on Azure, which yesterday had huge issues due to a config error by Azure staff - so this could be a related issue. The IP address is not responding, just like yesterday.
forum.inaturalist.org is hosted by Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc, so that’s why it’s still up.
Thanks folks. We’re experiencing some issues with our cloud provider resulting in the site being offline. We’re aware of it and looking to resolve things ASAP. We don’t currently have an estimate for when the site will be back online, but we’re working to make that happen as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience
Well, if I’m being honest, I have quite a number of other things I should be doing anyway - but procrastinating on iNat is much more fun - and, bonus! I can tell myself it’s useful!
